Imma go with my school...but idk what doceuments imma need. Like I don't have a passaport. The only form of identification I have is my school id I don't even have my birth certificate since I mom has it and I'm not talking to her right now. I'm only 16

The question is pretty much explained. My old man is on a flight right now to amsterdam, and I was told it something like 14 hours. Just wanted to see if this had some validity to it.

Looking up online I found $444 now, but kayak.com also shows that it was $408 few days ago. I also see that few agencies sell vacation packages, including air and 4 night hotel from SF to Costa Rica, for $499. This mans that air price should be much less than $400. So what is the lowest price I can expect and how to get it?

Well, you will most likely not have a direct flight - I just flew in from Winnipeg, Canada to Calgary, Alberta and on to San Francisco last night- had to take 2 planes and that adds to the time - there will be no less than a 2 hour layover plus with Canadian weather there will also probably be some delay - both my planes had to be de-iced before take-off which added another 40 mins. to each flight. You also have to factor in the arrival time at the airport - you need to be there no less than 2 hrs and you will have to go thru immigration when you get to the first plane's destination - which means you have to deplane, pick up your check in luggage, go thru immigration (lines can be very long) then re-check in you luggage and go thru security once again before your next flight. So, all in all it took me 10 hours to get to SFO. But the trip was worth the hassle - have a good time. :)

Well it depends on the flight you're taking, but i believe in all airlines they provide scheduled movies and they have music stations. But I suggest you bring your own source of entertainment such as: a laptop, psp, ipod, A LOT of magazines (these helped a lot during my flight), or crossword books, etc. because I had a relative who came here from the states too and she told me that something was wrong with the movie screens so they didn't show any movies.

Omigod! That's like 12hours. The flight feels like forever. But the planes should have those monitor thingies where that lets you watch movies and there are some inflight music too.

If you are in the first class cabin you can access any latest entertainment available on board. If you are in economy........whatever they gave!

intertaiment! lol your surely joking, my advise is to stay up really late the night before and take a strong sleeping pill just before the flight .viva the midnight express!

You have movies during the long flights, all of the airlines have movies and short subjects.. If you are in first class or business you have individual movie screens. On old 747's most of the movies are on a big screen in the cheap seats. On newer Airbus airplanes you might even have TV screens on the seat backs over the trays. Sometimes you have live entertainment with babies crying, drunks cursing and noisy talkers. Ear plugs and a blindfold don't take up a lot of room. A blow up neck pillow also won't take up a lot of room. Bring a book to read. Remember to get up often during the flight to stretch a bit and prevent blood clots. I fly a lot and read until I can't hold my eyes open then doze off - repeat as necessary. The more electronic junk you bring with you the more you have to worry about! God luck.

Have fun Lady M. My brother lived in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia and it took him about 20 hours from IAH. From SFO it is probably 15-18 hours. You will probably have to change planes at Narita (Tokyo) or possible Singapore. I hope you travel safe and come back with lots of stories !! On final thing. They punish drug smugglers with the death penalty... almost on a summary execution basis. Be a teetotler.

All of the mentioned informations are indicated on his ticket. After the rebooking was done, you will be advised that he must bring his ticket at any PAL ticketing office to validate.

I have found about $1,200 before tax as the cheapest so far. Any ideas on sites? or advice? Want to travel May20-23 to June5-10 Dates are obvioulsy flexible. THANKS!

Ah the search for the cheap flight to Perth. It depends on how many lay overs you are prepared to do. The fastest and most expensive way is to go Qantas through Sydney. The most comfortable by FAR is Singapore Airlines. SFO/HK/SIN/PER flight route. You can also do the same thing with Cathay. Now if you want to go cheaper but are not attached to your luggage (kidding!) you can fly to Singapore then take Tiger Air to Perth. MUCH cheaper than booking direct from SF. You can also check your luggage all the way through to Perth as long as you are not doing a stop over. If you have some extra money fly from LA with Singapore Airlines on their executive economy direct LA - SIN (2nd longest flight in the world). It is beautiful! Difficult thing is ever having to fly cattle car again. Even cheaper still and the best value (but you need a partner) is www.escapesltd.com. They have great deals to Asia and will fly you to Singapore with a 5 night trip to Bali for cheaper than your fare to Singapore alone, but you need 2 people. Once in Singapore you have up to 45 days for travel, at which point you go to Perth.

I have been on several flights from Honolulu back to SF in the 4 hour to 4 hour and 15 minute range. I live in Hawaii.

What is the most beautiful tropical beach destination within a 12 hour flight of San Francisco
What is the most beautiful tropical beach destination within a 12 hour flight of San Francisco?
We've done Hawaii, we've done the Carribean - this fall we want to try someplace new. Where are some places that are not ourtageously expensive (like Tahiti) are relatively safe, and aren't any farther away from SFO than about 12 hours? I'd love some ideas!

Cook Islands? There's a weekly flight from LAX on Air New Zealand, 9 hours. It's a beautiful place. Small, no huge skyscraper hotels, no crowded dirty beaches, its small, intimate, and has some lovely small hotels (from 2 star to 5 star). Amazing white sand beaches, warm clear water, coral reefs, its paradise!

Fiji is not outrageously expensive - and there are many other south pacific islands besides Fiji and Tajiti and Bora Bora. I think the south pacific islands have the most beautiful beaches.

Can someone tell me the flight path for the Emirates flight from San Francisco to Dubai?
I know it goes over Canada, the North Pole, and Russia but can you be more specific. Does it go around northeast Canada first or go directly north and fly over Oregon Washington and Vancouver. Does it fly over the center of the North Pole or go to the side where Greenland is. And where over Russia. Maybe Moscow. Please help.

i'm HOPING to get a flight ticket from San Francisco airport to honolulu for less then $200 from priceline...i want to schedule it for june 11th to june 28th (8 months from now) is that possible? normal prices average around $700... can i even go lower then $200? what do you think is minimum price? What were you're experiences and what do you think is the cheapest possible hotel i can get too but still nice enough to stay at doesnt have to be luxery status

Okay, about the air fare. I highly doubt you'll get a ticket for less than $500 minimum, even on price line. I would be shocked beyond belief if you did manage to pull that off. Check Hawaiian Airlines right now. I just looked for one person on the dates you specified. You can get a roundtrip for $810 + taxes. That's a great deal in my opinion. You are going to be trying to fly in a peak season, and the flights to Hawaii will be jammed packed. So I would go ahead and jump on that fare if you can. I work for an airline, and I see fares go way higher than this. Okay, so about the hotel. I just took a few days to get away and went to Hawaii. We stayed at the Outrigger Reef. It's actually in Waikiki and it's right on the beach. I paid about $150 a night (though I used my airline discount), and normal rates are about $200-250. It was a really nice room. Check out other great Outrigger locations throughout the island. If you're like me, and are only at the hotel at night to sleep, then you can find something cheaper that's away from the beach.

I have already booked my around the world ticket but my 2 friends and I have to book our own internal flight from New York to San Francisco. We plan to leave NYC to SF around the 9th of Jan. Would it be necessary to book flights soon and what is reasonable price I should be looking out for?

Don't buy the ticket NYC-SF yet! Prices vary every month and tent to go down 1 month before the date you think of fly.... I have booked flight 2 months before but not so long as you want to do it. If you make a search and see the prices, they are similar as another dates closer to your date....So wait a while please and do it through the airline i will recommend you I personally recommend Virgin America, they have great service and don't charge fee for your luggage. Also, you can order food at any time and it isn't expensive. Another features they have, seats are more comfortable and have more space for your legs, they have MP3 player on every seat.......They prices are lower than American Airlines, United and other airlines that want to get their fuel money from you... That's way more in advance then it has to be; I have no idea whether prices will be better or worse if you wait. But here is the tip: Buy Jet Blue. JFK to SFO, direct flight, cheap and nice. By far the best way to go if the schedule works for you unless you can afford 1st class on another airline.

My friend and I want to go to san francisco for vacations. But I don't want to drive up there and neither does she. My friend has doesn't have an issue id from California, however she has another form of id. Will there be any problem if she flights from LAX to san francisco?

Hi, I'm planning on flying from San Francisco to Dublin in December. I hear that Aer Lingus and United Airlines are offering non stop flights from San Francisco to Dublin but only for this month. After that it seems they all stop somewhere in America on the way, will they stop doing it? Is there anyway I can get a nonstop flight from San Francisco to Dublin in December? Thanks.

I checked Expedia.com and picked a random day, apparently all flights from San Francisco make at least two stop somewhere else on the east coast

I've seen direct flights advertised from SF, to Dublin, but I don't know if the route only operates over the peak holiday period.

I typed in a random date in November and Aer Lingus are offering direct flights from San Francisco to Dublin so I'm presuming this is a flight which is available all year round. I'm not sure though so your best bet is to contact Aer Lingus and ask! :D

You might also note that flights from San Francisco start getting more expensive after 15th Dec., and from Dublin after 16th Dec. Coming towards Christmas, they are crazy prices altogether. I also checked www.united.com to Dublin, and there are many more flights to choose from. All have one stop, at Chicago O'Hare or JFK or London Heathrow. Return flights via the same airports and also Boston. For the purpose of research, I put your travel dates as leaving San Fran on 3rd Dec. and returning on 16th. The United website showed possible cheapest return flights as $797.30, but you'd be waiting around at Chicago for 6 and a half hours for the connection, and returning via Boston, one and a half hours which might be a bit tight with going through security checks etc. There were other flights with two to three hours hanging around, but prices were different. I then did a search on United for non-stop to London Heathrow, and there was just one flight, arriving 13.25. Surprisingly, the fare was more expensive (minimum $856.70), and there would still be the added cost of getting from there to Dublin. All the other flights to Heathrow had one stop on the way. At http://www.edreams.net/ for the same dates, I was quoted $601.55 with Continental Airlines, changing at Newark International, New York. http://www.orbitz.com/flight-info/EI/EI-SFO-DUB.html has a full range of flights and carriers, all have one stop.

If you try Aer Lingus's site, they'll either route you through Chicago (United Airlines operating this leg of the route) or JFK (JetBlue doing this bit). The flights onwards to Dublin would be Aer Lingus. You could also try Delta - their San Fran to Dublin flights(via Atlanta or New York-JFK) are supposed to be quite reasonable.
