I would not recommend traveling to Cuba, but if you do, you have to do it as two separate round trips. One R/T from SFO to Mexico and one from Mexico/Cuba. The regulations require that persons subject to U.S. jurisdiction be licensed in order to engage in any travel-related transactions pursuant to travel to, from, and within Cuba. Transactions related to tourist travel are not licensable. This restriction includes tourist travel to Cuba from or through a third country such as Mexico or Canada.

You won't be able to find out how to get tix from any US based travel agent/online travel agent

You can't. Unfortunately Cuba is still on our @hit list. No travel with out special dispensation........you can go to Canada and fly out of there......but if you are a US citizen and get caught in Cuba......your smoked.........seriously...........don't do it........

In order to stay within the US, some airlines such as Continental and American charter to Cuba on a Beech 1900D. They usually depart from Miami or Ft. Lauderdale.

I can tell you that if you travel during holidays you will pay more. Like May day or National day Oct. 1 If you buy your ticket in advance you will save some money also know that if you travel to Taiwan then to Hong Kong from San Fransisco you will save some money. I feel all tickets are high priced but if you research to times during the year I'm sure you can find a ticket at a good price.

for international flights i think it is cheaper to arrange it through a travel agency. i got mine (as round trip ticket) at a cheaper price than online. i'm going from sf to hk too!!! just be sure to order it as soon as you can, earlier=cheaper, especially since it's almost summertime=holiday/vacation season=busy=expensive

If you are south of San Francisco, you could drive, or walk without crossing a bridge. Or you could swim in from the other directions.
2 :
Depends on where you are coming from. If you want to avoid even crossing a creek, I think you are going to have to be born there. You can drive from peninsula, say from San Jose, but there are going to be bridges.
3 :
Take Interstate 280 north to US HWY 101 North
4 :
going up north from San Jose
5 :
Take the Bart into the City
6 :
Take the BART train or swim.
7 :
travel by highway 101 from San Jose
