you could purposely miss the flight and pay for a new ticket or something when you arrive, but try too contact the airline to see if you could just change the second leg of the flight to a few days later. or just cancel the flight and re-book it as 2 separate flights
2 :
If you've already bought your ticket, your choices are limited. You can try to reschedule your flight which may or may not be changeable and normally requires a fee and possibly any difference in fares or depending on the restrictions on your present ticket, cancel and get a refund. It's probably best not to skip your flight, call Virgin America and ask them what your options are and how much the costs is, then make your decision.

Don't plan on NOT paying any extra costs! Airlines are struggling to make $$ with the cost of fuel increasing daily. If you lay over and leave the flight with an empty seat, that costs the carrier money. If you want to stay over, contact the carrier and see what their fees are. Delta stuck me really good once when I laid over an extra night in New Orleans. They popped me for $375 or so for a 1st-class ticket up to Atlanta the next morning! I almost croaked! CHECK WITH YOUR CARRIER!!!

how long is flight from Geneva to San Francisco?

it should list on the airlines website the timeing information
2 :
HOW FAST ARE YOU GOING TO BE FLYING ? YOU ON A HANG GLIDER OR IN 747 ?
3 :
well since there are no nonstop flights this means you have to make a connection the fastest on British airways you would have to change planes in london] this routing is 13 hours
4 :
According to FlightAware.com, the exact flight time is 11 hours and 46 minutes (from Zurich since there are no non-stop flights from Geneva). Have a great trip!
5 :
12 Hours
6 :
There are no direct flights to San Francisco from Geneva so you must connect through a larger city which would probably be in London or Washington DC depending on your airlines. British Airways offers the quickest flights from Geneva to SFO via London. The total flight time including connection time would be 13hrs 30minutes, give or take a few quarter hours. If your tight on money, keep in mind that quicker flights usually cost much more than other flights requiring more time consumption. The cheapest flight I could flight from October is $510 however it involves two connection cities (Madrid & Chicago) and has a total travel time upwards of 21 hours. So it's all up to you! I'd give a range of 13-24 hours depending on luck and money.

how long is the flight from nyc to san francisco

how long is the flight from nyc to san francisco?

bout an hour
2 :
like 7-9 hours, i was like 11 last time i went to cali
3 :
in my estimates, it'd be about 4 hours, because it takes 3 to get to Minneapolis, so I'd add an extra hour for an extra time zone. just my personal estimate.
4 :
Around 5-6hours if it is non-stop. Remember there is a 3 hour time change but you will still be traveling arouund 5-6 hours.
5 :
6h 18min to 6h 50min.
6 :
There is a head wind (wind blows form West to Wast) going to San Francisco so the trip will take six hours and thirty minutes. Coming back, there is a tail wind so it will only take five hours and thirty minutes. More fuel is used going West and it is one of the reasons why oneway tickets going west usualy cost a bit more that tickets coming East. Hope that helps.

An hour, wow.... I went form nyc to oakland (they're right next to each other) It could take 7-8 hours. i recommend a plane with a tv. you'll be on for a LONG time. Jetblue has tv's, but it doesn't go to san fran, it goes to oakland. i recommend you do that.
8 :
It actually depends, but generally, it's about 6 or 7 hours. I take a JetBlue flight all the time from JFK to SJC and I've made it in less than 6 hours because there was little headwind, but it could take as much as 7 if the wind is strong. Also, if you travel during "rush hour", weekday mornings, you'll sit on the runway for a while which won't impact your time in the air but will impact total time.
9 :
I would say the flight from JFK New York to San Francisco is anywhere from 5 to 51/2 Hours. With a 3 hour time change. It is 3 Hours earlier in San Francisco, Calif then New York, NY. Have a great trip! Gerard
10 :
6-7 hours depending on weather conditions which can cause delay, and whether it is a non stop flight. Generally it is a full day of travel. I've made that flight many times.

fly to drive to las vegas? from San Francisco

fly to drive to las vegas? from San Francisco?
ill be flying into san francisco mid-june to go on a trip with my boyfriend. We wanted to go Las Vegas for 4 or 5 days but not sure if we should drive or fly. its a 8 1/2 hour drive and mapquest estimated gas at about $80. we'd loose both a day and a night for driving and sleeping. for flying, its $180 per person for a 4 hour flight. we'd have to pay for a checked bag but we could sleep on the plane. I heard that parking is free at hotels. is this true? The only reason i would want to fly is because we could sleep. but its so much more expensive and my flight to san francisco is already $550. what would you do? or what have you done? we dont really have a plan to look at other places in las vegas... and like the rest of the US, we're trying to save money. i know there are much shorter flights but i dont want to spend $400 on a flight i know there are much shorter flights but i dont want to spend $400 on a flight thutmose (i think that was youre name): good point! i would have never thought about the drive back. i figure we'll be so tired after spending 4 or 5 days there, we'll just want to rest. thank you!

I say drive because you and your boyfriend can spend some nice quality time with just the two of you on the road, it could be fun! I think it would be cheaper than flying, cause pretty much all you'll need is gas money. It shouldn't be that long of a trip so I say just go for the drive! The trip sounds super fun, have a good time!
2 :
You should drive since it costs less than flying. Plus, leave around like 10a.m. in the morning and when you get there 8 1/2 hours later, it will be 6:30p.m. If you do this, you don't have to worry about sleeping. And yes, hotels do have free parking. If you are gonna fly, you have to pay for the plane fare, car rentals, and you have to deal with all that airport hassles. Its gonna burn a hole in your wallet if you do that.

The flight from San Francisco to Vegas is an hour and half. Do not drive, you will be so tired when you get to Vegas it will ruin your vacation. It's much cheaper to fly. Check sites like Southwest airlines, Allegiant Air or US Airways. Also do a search on kayak engine. It will check all airlines going to Vegas and all major travel sites and return the cheapest fare. http://www.lasvegas-how-to.com/cheap-flights.php FYI: With Southwest Airlines, bags fly free
4 :
I would fly. The airport is really close to "the strip" so its pretty convenient and most of the stuff is on the strip or a few steps away from it so you could get around without a car too. Plus, my family has done the drive from San Francisco before and its actually a little longer than that (even if we don't really stop) Southwest airlines flies from all 3 bay area airports to Las Vegas airport and they don't charge for bags. You might be able to get a good deal if you book early enough.

If you drive it will be the BIGGEST mistake for you guys and you're going to start the trip off on a bad note! Distance wise, about 400 miles. Time-wise it takes about 6 hours-without traffic just to reach Los Angeles so imagine another 4-5 hours from there to reach las vegas?? If even if you do make it! Whats going to kill and bug you is after you had you're fun in vegas you're going to say damn, after you realize how much time it took you to get to vegas THE DRIVE BACK!! You should fly and re-think your trip. I mean really after you guys had you're fun, drinking, partying and dancing, do you really want to make that hike back to SF in a car? Thats going to be the last thing on you're mind. It could ruin the trip.
