You need government issued ID. A passport or a your green card will do fine.

Any one of: A driver's license A state issued non-driver ID card Passport Those would each be sufficient. A social security card is useless for that purpose. A green card would also work. This is the official list of acceptable ID: = = = = = = = * U.S. passport * U.S. passport card * DHS "Trusted Traveler" cards (NEXUS, SENTRI, FAST) * U.S. Military ID (active duty or retired military and their dependents, and DOD civilians) * Permanent Resident Card * Border Crossing Card * DHS-designated enhanced driver's license * Drivers Licenses or other state photo identity cards issued by Department of Motor Vehicles (or equivalent) that meets REAL ID benchmarks (All states are currently in compliance) * A Native American Tribal Photo ID * An airline or airport-issued ID (if issued under a TSA-approved security plan) * A foreign government-issued passport * Canadian provincial driver's license or Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) card * Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Non-US/Canadian citizens are not required to carry their passports if they have documents issued by the U.S. government such as Permanent Resident Cards. Those who do not should be carrying their passports while visiting the U.S.

As is clearly noted on Aeroplan's website, flights between the US and Europe zone 1 (which includes Germany) require a minimum of 60,000 miles in coach. The actual amount of miles you would need depends on availability of awards on your specific travel dates.

What is the cheapest way to make it to the San Francisco Airpot for a 6am flight? BART doesn't arrive in time

What is the cheapest way to make it to the San Francisco Airpot for a 6am flight? BART doesn't arrive in time.
I just moved to the Bay Area. I am looking for an apartment so I don't know where i'll be departing from. But I think i'll be in Walnut Creek. What is the cheapest way to make it to the SFO airport for a 6 am flight? I probably need to be there by 5 am to make it through security and checkin. Obviously the BART is the cheapest way to get there but the earliest I can get there with the BART is 5:30. Which is cutting it too close. I don't have access to a car and I can't rely upon somebody to drop me off. Can anyone recommend a cheap shuttle service or any alternative to this problem? I won't be booking anymore 6 am flights from SFO after this. Thanks!

Muni would be the best way to go, it'll get u there on time and its $1.50
2 :
How about a taxi, not exactly cheap though.
3 :
Supershuttle Suppershuttle has a website. Also Loris ariport shuttle.
4 :
you could take the last bart train to sfo which would get you to the airport just before 2 am. that would give you a little time to kill, but it sound's like you have more time than money right now.

Super Shuttle will get you there on time.

That's why I never ever book a flight at that time, I could have the same problem to go from home to the airport. Let's see! If I were you I would take the last BART train from Walnuk Creek to SFO the night before and wait until early in the morning to make the check- in. You will only wait like 4 hours, it's nothing. If you decide to try it in the morning, time will stress you out a lot! I'm serious and think about that you will have to wake up like 4pm or before as well. I always take book flights leaving at 8 or so and have missed flight twice lol and at 6am mmmmmm think about my sugestion again!! Good luck

The person who suggested Muni apparently doesn't understand the question, since Muni goes neither to Walnut Creek nor to the airport. Shuttles from WC are going to be expensive AND will probably give you a pickup time of 2 AM. At that point, it may be that you would do just as well to take the LAST possible BART train before they shut down for the night. By the way, with no car, how do you figure on getting TO BART?

Shuttles are efficient, but you'll pay $50+ each way. My sister lives in Hawaii and visits our mom in Concord once or twice a year. She used to use a shuttle service but found it's cheaper to pick up a rental car in Concord and drop it off at SFO. By the way, I had a 6 am flight 3 weeks ago and had a friend drop me off at 4:50. I was flying United which doesn't start checking anyone in until 5 am, and I arrived to find extremely long lines. Security is also backed up at that time because you'll be in line with people who arrived 2-3 hours before their flights. Those who suggested taking the last Bart train might have the right idea. (But I'd also check out the one-way car rental.)
