About 16 hours.
2 :
About 16 -- a little more if the jet stream is blowing hard (it's against the wind the whole way), a little less if the jetstream is mild. The return trip is only about 13 hours on average, 'cause it's with the wind :)
3 :
Actually a direct flight is 13 hours from San Fran into Auckland.
4 :
13 hours. The non-stop flight from SFO to AKL on Air New Zealand is great. The plane is very new and the entertainment is fab...plus, they serve really good wines on the flight.

What is the lowest price I can get on the flight from San Francisco, CA to San Jose, Costa Rico
What is the lowest price I can get on the flight from San Francisco, CA to San Jose, Costa Rico?
Looking up online I found $444 now, but kayak.com also shows that it was $408 few days ago. I also see that few agencies sell vacation packages, including air and 4 night hotel from SF to Costa Rica, for $499. This mans that air price should be much less than $400. So what is the lowest price I can expect and how to get it?

When do you fly to Costa Rica? . I just checked for instance early February (departure on Feb. 2, return on Feb. 9) and I got a return ticket San Francisco - San Jose at US$ 278 , incl charges and taxes at Travelocity. Travelovity and the best flight booking sites have been selected here: http://www.willgoto.com/1/023798/liens.aspx No hidden fees .
2 :
there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.
3 :
sorry we can assit you at this time because you dont tell us when you want to leave or return so we can not answer your question at time this has been a recording recording recording
4 :
No, it means if you book the package, you get the package price. If you buy the airfare separately it will be MUCH more expensive.

Change planes. Time between flights: 2hr 15min Total duration: 13hr 50min this is for san francisco-munich
2 :
There are nonstop flights between SFO and Munich and Frankfurt. The shortest scheduled flight duration is 10 hours and 40 minutes to FRA on Lufthansa (5682 miles). To Munich, it's 11 hours and 5 minutes (5861 miles).

About 16 hours if actual flying time. Not including layovers.
2 :
since there no nonstop flights you will have to change planes somewhere the faster is 13 hours on Lufthansa and coming in at 14 hours with air France
3 :
I did a quick search and was unable to find a non stop flight from San Francisco to Prague. So, you'd likely have at least 1 layover - where you fly first and how long your layover is alters total travel time. I found trips from 16 hours all the way to 24 hours.

I would be there at 9:15. You should always be 3 hours early for an international flight. Have a good trip, Keagan
2 :
you should always be there 2-3 hours before the flight takes off... being that if anything goes wrong you are able to take of it.. have a nice trip!
3 :
At least 2-3 hours befero the flight takes off. Give your self planty of time.
4 :
you should always arrive to an airport about an hour to two hours before a domestic flight and about two hours to three hours before an international flight. since you are flying international, i would get to the airport at 9:15. if you want to get something to eat at the airport or to go shopping or something, i would get to the airport at 8:00.
5 :
The time your airline tells you to arrive at that airport. Check the airline website for "Check-in Requirements", then "When to Arrive at the Airport". They will publish a standard time, then note exceptions for certain airports. See sample #1 for an example from Delta. Please note: the check-in time is the time when you are actually talking to a ticket agent, checking your baggage, and receiving your boarding pass; NOT when you pull into the airport parking lot. Take into consideration the time required to drive through rush hour from your home to SFO, then park in that airport, then get to the check-in area, then stand in line. Also note that some airlines specify how long before departure you must be at the gate.
6 :
I usually arrive three hour before departure just to be safe.
7 :
The best thing to do for international flights is to arrive 3 hours early, so in your case be at the airport by 9:15.
8 :
I'd get there around 8:45.
9 :
You want to be there 45 minutes before boarding. Allow yourself plenty of time at the airport. If you want to be at the gate 45 minutes before boarding, which will be around 11:50, you'll obviously want to get there a little after 11:00. San Francisco is a pretty busy airport, so I would arrive at the airport around 9:30, no later.
10 :
The last two times I've flown out of SFO, it was a disaster, get there as early as possible, within reason. I'd say like 9:00 am. My last flight in June, to get through security took over an hour (my flight was at 10, I got there at 7:30, and got through security around 8:50 pm.) The time before that I got there early and there was a situation with security (someone had a fake ID and I heard drugs but idk). I love traveling out of SFO (I'm equidistant from SFO and SMF). Be sure that you have no liquids, and if you have any toothpaste, deodorant, etc that you are carrying in a carry on you have in a clear plastic bag! Good luck, and enjoy!

Well, you will most likely not have a direct flight - I just flew in from Winnipeg, Canada to Calgary, Alberta and on to San Francisco last night- had to take 2 planes and that adds to the time - there will be no less than a 2 hour layover plus with Canadian weather there will also probably be some delay - both my planes had to be de-iced before take-off which added another 40 mins. to each flight. You also have to factor in the arrival time at the airport - you need to be there no less than 2 hrs and you will have to go thru immigration when you get to the first plane's destination - which means you have to deplane, pick up your check in luggage, go thru immigration (lines can be very long) then re-check in you luggage and go thru security once again before your next flight. So, all in all it took me 10 hours to get to SFO. But the trip was worth the hassle - have a good time. :)
5 :
LA to NYC direct is 5-6 hours depending on the direction (San Fran and MTL are about equal distance north). If you have a layover give it an extra 2 hours, plus 20-30 minutes for customs.
