I have a flight to Las Vegas From San Francisco. I'm traveling by myself and a liitle nervous advice?
My flight is at 6am on the 26th and I get to Las Vegas at 730am. My check in is at 3pm so I will have time to kill. I get to my Hotel at 3pm I will sleep till 7pm and then go to the Goo Goo Dolls concert at 9pm. Its probabbly going to be until midnight then off I go back to my hotel. I check out on the 27th at 11am and my flight is at Midninght. When I get back to the airport at 1:45am I will be waiting 4 hours till Bart opens to go home, LOL. Am I crazy? What things can I do better? Id much rather drive my car to the airport but i dont want to pay the nightly fees either. Advice? Ive never traveled by myself before. On top of that I will be on my own for 12 hours with nothing! I meant from checkout at my hotel at 11am till 11:45pm I will have nothing to do that long and I will probabbly be super tired hahaha.

Bring an iPod. You don't know what there is to do in Las Vegas? Are you serious?

Bored at VEGAS, you have got to be kidding me,,,,,,,, your flight arrives at 7:30am and you dont have to be at your hotel till 3pm........................................................................... . play the slots.. ( penny machines you dont want to lose your money) . go and have breakfast or lunch at one of the buffets . take a walk down the strip visit the bars, arcade, etc etc

check out and leave your bags with the reception and hang around the hotel until you have to go to the airport - go sightsee ot go to another show Also: just take hand-luggage. You only need a change of underwear etc Don't wait 4 hours for BART get one of those Airporter shuttle buses from the airport Ask the hotel if you can check in early: call them on their 1-800 number the day before you fly Ask the hotel for a late checkout when you check in if you are nice they sometimes let you have the room for a few extra hours on the day of your departure: explain your predicament. I live in SF and getting back to the city by cab is about $25:00 splurge on that rather than wait hours and hours for BART (Airporter is about $15:00) I think if you paid the overnight parking fees you would save money in the long run and avoid some mega hassle. Overnight parking fees aren't that expensive.

just don't carry money visibly where no jewelry if possible buy a cheap watch so you don't miss your flights So many things to do so many places to go in Las Vegas you shouldn't have time to revisit your Hotel room, travel lite and have fun

What you have left out here is your age. Ask your hotel for an early check in time. Many times they will check you in early if they have open rooms. Ask, early in the morning by calling the front desk, for a late check out time. Again, many times if they have open rooms they will allow you to stay an additional number of hours at no charge. It is very easy to kill 12 hours at the Craps tables. If that isn't an option due to age CircusCircus has some entertainment you can watch for free. But that gets old quickly. I can not for the life of me understand why you would want to spend all night long waiting for BART! Hire a taxi, a town car or drive to the airport and pay the parking fees, don't be so cheap! Your schedule is borderline insanity at best, at least you can get home and catch up on your sleep!

It doesn't hurt to ask your hotel if you can check in early. If not, ask them to hold your bag. They always do that for early arrivals. That way you're free to go about Vegas before the check in time. If you're female traveling on your own, I would NOT recommend hanging around the airport till the Bart opens to get home. It's worth your safety to either leave your car at the airport so you can go home right away. Or... pay for a shuttle or car service to take you home. Don't know about you.. but as a working professional, my time is too valuable to be wasted at the airport. On the other hand, if you're male and can find things to do in the early morning, all the power to you! Hope this helps!

Believe me, been there, done that. I have spent 14 hours in an airport, many times spent 6-8 hours in airports, 9 and a half in a bus station, more than once 6 hours in train stations by myself. I've been travelling by myself for the past three weeks.. Tpday I'm flying to Brazil.. between planes and airports, it's about 24 hours. What I do is try to do everything really slow -- check in, walking, eating, all those things, so time goes by faster. Then, I always have some options of what to do: Books, something to write on, crosswords, mp3 players.. Times actually goes by faster than you'd think. Make sure to move a lot. If you have time in a place, walk around, get to know it, call your friends (I was so bored once I just called my phoneebook) :) It'll be ok! If I made it, you can do it!
