The gate-to-gate flying time between San Francisco and Fresno, according to Orbitz, is between 40 minutes and an hour, depending on which direction you're flying. (The flight from San Francisco to Fresno has a longer scheduled time than the other direction, due to anticipated heavy traffic in San Francisco making the taxi and take-off time longer than leaving Fresno. They anticipate that waiting to take off from SFO will take about 20 minutes longer than going the other direction, due to relatively few flights leaving Fresno at any given time.) Given those times, the actual time in the air will be somewhere between 25 and 30 minutes -- as is shown above, though, the actual gate-to-gate time will vary based upon the airports involved.

According to FlightAware.com, the exact flight time is 50 minutes. Have a great trip!

55 to 60 minutes depending on the airlines. I live in Austin, TX so I fly directly to Dallas, TX a lot of the times I travel which is a 3 1/2 hour drive but only about 54 minutes by plane. Very convenient. For San F. and Fresno, typical tickets would cost below 400 dollars. :P

How long is a flight from Chicago to San francisco
How long is a flight from Chicago to San francisco?
Will it be more than one stop to get there? When they say its more than one stop, do that mean I have to switch planes or do i stay on the same one while people get off? I want to fly out from Midway on a Thursday and come back on a Sunday.

For direct flights: From O'Hare, you have 2 options, United and American. If you want Midway, book with southwest, best fare you're going to get. There are direct flights to San Francisco Int'l [SFO], or Oakland Airport nearby. Go for direct flights when you can. Stops will probably get you a lower fare, but its more tiresome. Flights usually take around 4.5 hours westbound, and 4 hours eastbound.

hope the below helps AA 12AUG ORDSFO 0755 1023 AA 16AUG SFOORD 0945 1550 there are direct flights to San Francisco as per above but some you have to connect as in switch the planes eg Delta,US,NW

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.

How long did the flight from Honolulu to San Francisco take in the 1950's
How long did the flight from Honolulu to San Francisco take in the 1950's?
I know its a lot longer then it is today as early jet engines were less power and therefore you had less airspeed, but by how much? I am watching "The High and the Mighty" and it got me curious. OK i just realized they were still using props, but still, how long did it take?

It depends on your layover time - there are no non-stop flights from SFO. There are non-stops from LAX though, with flight times of about 5 1/2 hours.

Connecting United Airlines flight at San Francisco International
Connecting United Airlines flight at San Francisco International?
I fly into SFO from Auckland using Air NZ next month (Mar 2009). The flight touches down at 11:30 AM and my connecting flight to Seattle using United Airlines departs SFO at 01:50 PM. Will my make it considering factors such as 1. Fog and weather conditions typical at SFO 2. Occupy last 3 rows of a almost fully loaded 747 - time to get out of the plane 3. Queue at Immigration counter - non US citizen (alien) 4. Collection of baggage and clearing customs 5. Baggage transfer to United 6. Passing through security at domestic terminal gate for United Air NZ and United codeshare and the baggage is tagged to the final destination upon check-in. No separate ticket booking. Kindly advise.

That should be plenty of time, as long as you don't get held up at customs. Hopefully its a weekday, it'll be a little slower in the airport. Good luck!

The detail and clarity of your question lends me to believe you are a well informed traveler. You have nothing to worry about the codeshare agreement and the 2 hrs + between conections means both airlines agree that barring unforseen circumstances you will make your conection. If not they will rebook you at no additional cost. You will have to reclaim your bags in SFO to clear US customs and immigration and then give your luggage to the transfer desk for your airline then all you have to do is clear TSA. Your pilots and aircraft are trained and equiped to deal with fog etc. So sit back and enjoy your flight.

No, you don't need transit visa.
