How long is the flight from san francisco,ca. to amsterdam
How long is the flight from san francisco,ca. to amsterdam?
The question is pretty much explained. My old man is on a flight right now to amsterdam, and I was told it something like 14 hours. Just wanted to see if this had some validity to it.

KLM flight 606 Departs San Francisco: 15:20 hrs Arrives Amsterdam: 10:55 hrs (next day) Journey: 10 hours 35 minutes Local time: San Francisco: 22:09 hrs Nov-18 Amsterdam: 07:09 hrs Nov-19 Non stop flight =0) Good luck
2 :
It's actually more like 11 hours. I flew to Munich this summer out of SF and it was about 11 1/2 hours (non stop), and Munich's pretty close to Amsterdam.
3 :
If it's a direct flight, it's more like 10-11 hours. He may have a connecting flight that would add some time. Here's a cool site where you can track flight status in real time: http://www.globemaster.de/flighttracker.html

You can see the Delta or Northwest website for this.
2 :
This should help- http://www.delta.com/skymiles/use_miles/award_upgrade_mileage/sm_award_mileage/index.jsp 25,000 is the minimum on certain dates- space available, more if you cant be flexible unless you have a delta credit card (then they give you the 20,000 mile awards at times).
3 :
You will have to contact NW witch is now Delta. Or go on their web site. I feel their air miles program is really not worth it. They have three levels of usage. Light, Medium and Heavy. The total number of air miles needed will be determined by them. I wanted to go to DC from Grand Rapids MI. American can do it fir 25K NW/Delta wanted 47K to 72K.......not a good deal........
4 :
If you are flying on non-blackout dates, the minimum miles to fly for free is 25,000 since it is a domestic flight. This would be a round-trip ticket.

Like 5.5 hours I think. I went a few years ago and it seemed longer than it was.
2 :
around 8 hours.
3 :
it's only 4 hours...........if that.
4 :
it would take like two hours
5 :
It feels like for ever, but its like 5 1/2 hours
6 :
depending on the airlines and how fast they can keep the speed...dependend on turbulance and other factors...average is approximately 5 hours.
7 :
6 1/2 hours from SF 5 1/2 hours from LA approx. given winds and weight of plane
8 :
Five hours.
9 :
It'll take a little over 5 hours for a nonstop flight.
10 :
Yeah, it's just around 5 hours, but when I went there a few weeks ago both going there and the return were slightly less. Guess the airlins are getting it right =D!

About 16 hours.
2 :
About 16 -- a little more if the jet stream is blowing hard (it's against the wind the whole way), a little less if the jetstream is mild. The return trip is only about 13 hours on average, 'cause it's with the wind :)
3 :
Actually a direct flight is 13 hours from San Fran into Auckland.
4 :
13 hours. The non-stop flight from SFO to AKL on Air New Zealand is great. The plane is very new and the entertainment is fab...plus, they serve really good wines on the flight.

What is the lowest price I can get on the flight from San Francisco, CA to San Jose, Costa Rico
What is the lowest price I can get on the flight from San Francisco, CA to San Jose, Costa Rico?
Looking up online I found $444 now, but kayak.com also shows that it was $408 few days ago. I also see that few agencies sell vacation packages, including air and 4 night hotel from SF to Costa Rica, for $499. This mans that air price should be much less than $400. So what is the lowest price I can expect and how to get it?

When do you fly to Costa Rica? . I just checked for instance early February (departure on Feb. 2, return on Feb. 9) and I got a return ticket San Francisco - San Jose at US$ 278 , incl charges and taxes at Travelocity. Travelovity and the best flight booking sites have been selected here: http://www.willgoto.com/1/023798/liens.aspx No hidden fees .
2 :
there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck.
3 :
sorry we can assit you at this time because you dont tell us when you want to leave or return so we can not answer your question at time this has been a recording recording recording
4 :
No, it means if you book the package, you get the package price. If you buy the airfare separately it will be MUCH more expensive.
