as soon as there is available flight on his preferred date. Call 8558888, pls. have his ticket number with u, the record locator or booking reference number and the fare basis. All of the mentioned informations are indicated on his ticket. After the rebooking was done, you will be advised that he must bring his ticket at any PAL ticketing office to validate.

Typically a flight can be quickly rebooked on line or on the phone provided you call the customer service line as quickly as possible and it is not high season when seats are tough to come by. However, since you alluded that this is a PAL flight, I would not be so optimistic and I would be prepared for the worst outcome.

Ah the search for the cheap flight to Perth. It depends on how many lay overs you are prepared to do. The fastest and most expensive way is to go Qantas through Sydney. The most comfortable by FAR is Singapore Airlines. SFO/HK/SIN/PER flight route. You can also do the same thing with Cathay. Now if you want to go cheaper but are not attached to your luggage (kidding!) you can fly to Singapore then take Tiger Air to Perth. MUCH cheaper than booking direct from SF. You can also check your luggage all the way through to Perth as long as you are not doing a stop over. If you have some extra money fly from LA with Singapore Airlines on their executive economy direct LA - SIN (2nd longest flight in the world). It is beautiful! Difficult thing is ever having to fly cattle car again. Even cheaper still and the best value (but you need a partner) is www.escapesltd.com. They have great deals to Asia and will fly you to Singapore with a 5 night trip to Bali for cheaper than your fare to Singapore alone, but you need 2 people. Once in Singapore you have up to 45 days for travel, at which point you go to Perth.

Flight time is approx - 5 hours 40 minutes Hawaii is 2 hours earlier than California

Flight time varies by headwinds ... generally (the first poster is correct) the time in the air is about 5 hours, add 10 to 15 minutes to taxi on each end. Now, that will usually be longer in the winter and shorter in the summer due to the jetstream (winds aloft). But the stronger winds that add time to your trip TO Hawaii will shorten the return. I have been on several flights from Honolulu back to SF in the 4 hour to 4 hour and 15 minute range. I live in Hawaii.

We've done Hawaii, we've done the Carribean - this fall we want to try someplace new. Where are some places that are not ourtageously expensive (like Tahiti) are relatively safe, and aren't any farther away from SFO than about 12 hours? I'd love some ideas!

Cook Islands? There's a weekly flight from LAX on Air New Zealand, 9 hours. It's a beautiful place. Small, no huge skyscraper hotels, no crowded dirty beaches, its small, intimate, and has some lovely small hotels (from 2 star to 5 star). Amazing white sand beaches, warm clear water, coral reefs, its paradise!

Fiji is not outrageously expensive - and there are many other south pacific islands besides Fiji and Tajiti and Bora Bora. I think the south pacific islands have the most beautiful beaches.

I know it goes over Canada, the North Pole, and Russia but can you be more specific. Does it go around northeast Canada first or go directly north and fly over Oregon Washington and Vancouver. Does it fly over the center of the North Pole or go to the side where Greenland is. And where over Russia. Maybe Moscow. Please help.

Click on the "In Flight" and you will get more info including a map of the flight's route. If this does not work, email me. Long distance flights follow the great circle route. To see this check the second URL and enter SFO to DXB the codes for the airports and you will see a presentation of the great circle route between these two airports. The great circle for this trip is to head 002 degrees which will take the flight just to the right of the north pole and then head down over Russia starting just east of Novaya Zemlya, about 50 degrees East longitude, and follow just east of this longitude all the way to Dubai. I am not a top contributor because I dont spend 14 hours a day in front of the puter, but I know how the real world works, ' The flight path varies from one day to the next due to weather, ATC, whatever military OPS may or may not be happening, especially as they flyover Russia and the Middle East and aircraft performance. That site or www.flightaware.com will show what path occured on a certain day, but it may be different tomorrow and the next,
