It is around 11 hours, but is gonna be very difficult and expensive to find a direct flight, May be you'll find more option going to Buenos Aires or Cordoba as scale. I think is gonna be cheaper to flight Miami -BS As and then Bs As Salta. I have been in Salta 2 times and the airport is very litlle, I don't think there are many Int'l Direct flights

im pretty sure there are no direct flights to nicaragua from the united states so it would depend on lay overs and what not. assuming you could get a direct flight there it would be between 5 and 6 hours.

I would try www.ytbtravel.com/gordonsa they seem to have cheap rates for tickets. I never been to Rio. But I use them for trips to Hawaii and England all the time and they seem to always come out cheaper Good Luck with your search

There used to be LA Rio direct, not anymore. AA and United should be the cheapest, SF > Mia > Rio or SP. Or SF > Atlanta > Rio with Delta. But bear in mind the flights are expensive.

Obviously, you'll have to add on a whole lot more time if you're (for some reason) taking one of these. The journey could take up to 18 hours! Hopefully, though, you'd never have to choose that option. On the way back, a non-stop flight should take pretty much the same amount of time -- it might be a few minutes shorter. Hope that helps!
