I cant afford to pay 4,000 for a ticket that is vaild for 1 year. I am teacher going to teach abroad in EF and They need me to have a 1 year vaild ticket

Ticket with 1 year validation usually charged on the full price basis or otherwise you could get the cheaper price with restricted class but would cost you quite a bit if you make alteration to your booking. You'd better not looking for this kind of ticket through the ticketing website(travelocity, expedia etc) but directly to the related airline's website. Otherwise contact their number or book through the travel agent. The best and cheapest trip will be those with single airlines only (without transferring from one airlines to another airlines) Try these airlines: Singapore Airlines, Cathay Pacific, China Airlines, Eva Air, Philippine Airlines, Korean Air or Japan Airlines. Those airlines flies in and out to San Francisco and has flights to Jakarta.Your ticket price would be averagely cost US$2000, but if you are lucky you could get the US$ 1500 ones. Don't book through any American airliners( American Airlines, Northwest, Delta , United etc.) because you connecting flight to Jakarta would be based on the code share price which will cost you a fortune, since no American airliners fly to Jakarta by themself.For example: you book through American Airlines, from SFO to HKG you'll fly with AA , from HKG to Jakarta it would be with Cathay, but since AA is putting you on a Cathay's flight, the price is different and surely a lot more expensive, if you book through Cathay you might get US$ 1800 while if you book through AA you might get US$ 2500 for the same exact routing.
